Calculation reference
An interim statement (décompte provisoire) turns an approved works situation into an amount to pay. It starts from the cumulative works, removes what was already certified, adds the price revision, removes penalties, applies VAT, then deducts the retention and the advance repayment.
Worked example
Cumulative 3,000,000 DZD, previous statements 2,000,000 DZD: gross 1,000,000 DZD. Revision +25,000, penalties −10,000: excl. tax 1,015,000 DZD; VAT 19% = 192,850; incl. tax 1,207,850. Retention 5% TTC of the gross = 59,500; advance 100,000 → net 1,048,350 DZD.
Things to check
Do not enter the period amount instead of the cumulative amount. Do not calculate the retention on an amount that already contains penalties. Check the retention base (HT or TTC) and the advance repayment schedule in the contract terms.

METHOD
An estimate you can verify
The calculation follows the cover page of the Rochemère official situation. The gross amount is the cumulative works less the previous statements. The retention applies to the gross works of the period (excl. tax, or excl. tax plus VAT). Revision, penalties, advance and release are the amounts of the period. Amounts are rounded to the centime.
FAQ
What is the difference between a works situation and a décompte?
The situation measures the executed quantities and their value. The décompte starts from that value and gives the amount to pay after revision, penalties, VAT, retention and advance.
Does the Excel template contain the formulas?
Yes. The calculated lines (gross, excl. tax, VAT, incl. tax, retention, net) are formulas. You enter only the amounts of your contract.
